Mit literarischen Analysen des Verbrechens müssen sich Hamburgs Abiturientinnen und Abiturienten zurzeit im Deutschunterricht auseinandersetzen. Nichts liegt da näher als auch einmal zu hinterfragen, warum literarische Figuren Verbrechen begehen. – Was treibt sie dorthin und lassen sich ihre Motive vielleicht auch auf die Wirklichkeit übertragen?

Um diesen Fragen auf den Grund zu gehen, verglich das Profil 3 die Situation des Protagonisten Christian Wolf aus Schillers „Der Verbrecher aus verlorener Ehre“ mit der der Katharina Blum aus Heinrich Bölls „Die verlorene Ehre der Katharina Blum“ und eins wurde deutlich: Die beiden hatten viel gemeinsam und hätten in dem jeweils anderen wohl das gesuchte Verständnis und Mitgefühl gefunden.
Für das NDR-Projekt Gib mir Goethe! Schick mir Schiller! fasste das Profil 3 beide literarischen Werke in einem 5-minütigen Film zusammen, der zeigt, dass Katharina Blum und Christian Wolf ein vielleicht perfektes Match gewesen wären.
