Der älteste Abiturient beim diesjährigen Ehemaligentreffen am Foorthkamp – es findet ja immer am ersten Freitag im September statt – , der Monika Holst vor die Linse kam, hat 1975 sein Abitur am Gymnasium Langenhorn gemacht. Aber es waren auch ganz frische Abiturienten vertreten, an deren Namen sich die Lehrer noch ganz leicht erinnerten. Die Stimmung war prima, nicht zuletzt auch dank der netten Versorgung mit Getränken und Imbiss durch die angehenden Abiturienten, und Hans Marquardt musste zu später Stunde ein Machtwort sprechen, um seine Schlüsselgewalt ausüben zu können. Schon jetzt vormerken: 2. September 2011 ist wieder das Ehemaligentreffen am Foorthkamp!
